End of Life Care
This one-day workshop started its inaugural workshop in 2010 and has benefited approximately 1900 participants to date.
Note: Course content is updated every 5-6 years. Latest course content update was 2022.
End of Life Care is intended for doctors who wish to develop skills and knowledge to deliver compassionate high-quality end-of-life (EOL) care for their patients. It is an opportunity to learn and share views on how care in the last days of life may be improved. The workshop includes lectures, case discussions and role play.
The aims of this workshop are to improve:
- Competency in providing quality EOL care
- Knowledge in various aspects related to EOL discussion
- Communication skills in EOL care
- The dying experience for families and healthcare providers
